18 Dec 2020

xDesign is delighted to announce the appointment of Paul Atkinson as Chairman. Paul is a founding partner of venture capital firm Par Equity and Partner and Chairman of talent services group Taranata.

“I couldn’t be more excited about the appointment of Paul, we are moving into 2021 with unprecedented levels of growth for the business and Paul has all the tools to help us navigate the challenges of growing at such pace.” - Euan Andrews Managing Director, xDesign.

xDesign is a leading, Edinburgh based, DIgital Transformation and software development company that offer consulting, design, and agile engineering services to the country’s leading brands and organisations, such as, the NHS, Tesco Bank, Heineken, and MoneySuperMarket.

xDesign started 2020 with the acquisition of digital development consultancy Bemo, and despite the difficult environment that the global pandemic presented managed to navigate the crisis thanks to its strong balance sheet, client relationships, fantastic team and core service offerings. In its latest accounts’ xDesign delivered another growth year with revenue taken to £4m and record profits.

“Despite the business challenge created by the Covid crisis, what has impressed me most about the xDesign team is the way they handled the adversity, using the time to create a better, stronger, business over the last 6 months and build relationships that are bearing fruit already. I look forward to helping them grow at pace!” Paul Atkinson.

xDesign’s growth plan includes accelerating its three year growth plan reaching £10m in revenue and a headcount of 100 in the next 18 months; this includes moving to new premises in Edinburgh and the opening of multiple hubs around the UK.

“This has been the most tumultuous year the business has ever faced; but our ability to not just survive but thrive in this environment is testament to processes we have in place, the relationships we have with our fantastic clients, our culture but especially our people who are truly the best in the business.” Euan Andrews
