In Conversation With...Montoux

By Ben Hutton

27 Jan 2021

In this month's episode of In Conversation With... xDesign Managing Director, Ben Hutton, talks with Montoux CEO Geoff Keast.

Montoux is an international business in the InsurTech industry with offices in Asia, New Zealand, Australia, the US and the UK. Geoff talks about doing business across different geographies, what makes Scotland a great place for an international business to have a base and how to build a strong business culture in a globally distributed company.

Can you tell me a little bit about Montoux and what you do?

Are there any challenges around explaining what you do to people to get them onboard with trying new systems in InsurTech?

How has the pandemic changed your sales pipeline and the way you approach prospects?

You work a lot in Data Science. These jobs are typically hard to recruit for. Are you seeing any skills shortages or gaps in your hiring?

We've talked about how Montoux is an international business. What makes Edinburgh a good place to set up?

How has the pandemic affected your business?

What challenges do you face building a cohesive culture in a small, geographically diverse, business?

If you enjoyed these extracts from this month's episode of In Conversation With... you can watch the full conversation below.

Some of the world’s biggest products that are everyday staples started off as being designed for impairment.
